Michael J. Palma is a senior trial attorney and partner in the Nowell Amoroso Klein Bierman litigation department. A highly experienced trial practitioner with over 150 jury cases tried to verdict, Mr. Palma has been designated as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Palma has successfully tried cases throughout New Jersey, New York and in Federal Court and is licensed as well in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Palma has argued on numerous occasions before appellate courts and was the prevailing attorney in the reported New Jersey State Supreme Court case of Steele v. Kerrigan, which establishes the responsibility of the server of alcohol to a minor as it relates to those injured intentionally by the minor.

Mr. Palma has extensive experience in all phases of litigation from investigation through discovery to trial. He has worked with a wide range of experts in such fields as accident reconstruction, medicine, economics, rehabilitation, security, intoxication and biodynamic analysis.

In the area of premises liability, Mr. Palma is one of the foremost practitioners in the State of New Jersey, having represented over 1000 establishments in dram shop and general liability exposures resulting in personal injury. Additionally, Mr. Palma has distinguished himself as counsel in claims involving commercial trucking companies, taxicabs and other commercial vehicles.

A 1978 graduate of The Citadel and a 1981 graduate of Catholic University Law School, Mr. Palma served as a Captain in the U.S. Army JAG Corps form 1982 to 1985 prior to returning to New Jersey and private practice. Mr. Palma is a member of the American Bar Association, and the bar associations of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
